STEPPING OUT POST-COVID!
LET’S KICK-START A GREAT YEAR WITH SOME REAL INSPIRATION.
MELBOURNE & SYDNEY
Venue: Sydney Scenic Berowra
Saturday 27 February 11.00 to 5.00 with a 30 minute break for bring-your-own lunch.
Venue: Melbourne, Brighton.
Sunday 7 March 10.00 to 4.30 with a 30 minute break for bring-your-own lunch.
Workshops are great, but the problem with online workshops is that they lack the face-to-face spontaneity & collective exploration. Face-to-face workshops are quick response processes that lack the benefits of a more considered edit. INTENSE workshops eliminate both shortcomings.
This project will consist of four components.
Everyone gets in advance a strategy sheet on editing their work.
Then, participants will send four poems (maximum 30 lines each) to leswicks@gmail.com at least 14 days prior to the workshop. The poems with commentary will be distributed to the participants four days prior to their workshop. Participants should bring a copy of the entire commentary document to the workshop.
On the day of the workshop we will work intensively through each participant’s poems building on prior suggestions and experiencing a dynamic interplay of ideas/insights.
Should they so wish, participants will have a chance to have a piece published in the e-mag Australian Poetry Collaboration, which is widely read and archived by the National Library’s Pandora.
It is strictly limited to only 7 attendees.
Bookings must be made by 14 February for Melbourne, 6 February for Sydney.
Cost $100.

Any Covid restrictions in place at the time will be fully met. In the event of another Covid wave the live portion of the programme will be done online.
