Sculptors

‘Come out of hiding,’
the chisel summoned the god.
‘Go back to nothing,’
cried the wind and rain, rubbing
him from the granite again.



Increments of Beauty

Even lovelier
than the cream-white gerbera
is its reflection
burred with the burnishing sun-
light in the dusty window.
