                            Haiku

Marilyn Arnold
Here in Hamilton,
Inescapable winter.
the mulberry grieves

Julie Hunt

Spring

our feral neighbours,
dreadlocked and juggling, practise
handstands in the street

Summer

Polystyrene cups
dance across the park
All the trees applaud
Autumn
time of affluence -
trees stand on golden shadows
throwing coins of light.
Winter
A stray leaf or flower,
I drift through the rainy streets
collecting haiku.

ross coward
through the leaves
weaving a pattern in the wind
blue sky

raindrops gather
on silver birch...branch by branch
leaf by leaf
